  1. i like to either go out in nature and spend some quiet time just looking at everything God made or i try to go out of my way to talk about God. this would be a good example of something i might do, starting a blog, which is part of the reason, but i also got the idea from Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. you should read it if you havn't, it's great.

  2. i'd like to share some advice I was given once:
Fake it til you feel it.
Say what? The one thing you don't wanna do when you don't feel God's presence (which is only a feeling because God is always there!) is give up on seeking God. So even when it feels fake, I keep reading my Bible, keep praying, and keep walking in the Lord. Then, God reveals His presence all along, and I come out stronger and more devoted because of God's revelation of His powerful presence in my life.

  3. thanks ashli, you're the first to comment other than myself. :D
and so this comment has some meaningful value, i second what she said. i'm really bad about remembering what she wrote, so it usually takes someone reminding me (like in prayer group), which is ironic because she's right, eventually it always works, but when i remember it's always encouraging to be reasured that God is there even when i can't feel His presence.
